Chalcedony

 Chalcedony is a microcrystalline form of quartz. Most agates and jaspers are Chalcedony. However in the gemstone trade the term Chalcedony is used to describe translucent stones of a singular color. Often blue to blue-gray, grays, purples, oranges and so on.
