Mexican Flame Agate was mined in the province of Chihuahua. The name comes from the agates appearance. Red and orange iron inclusions gives these agates an uncanny look of wildfire trapped in stone. Some of the material could also contain green and yellow. The 1970s saw large quantities of this material coming out of Mexico. Most of what is available today comes from old time collections. This pendant is 36x23mm ( 1.42" x .91" ) Chain not included.
