Utah Agatized Red Horn Coral Silver Pendant

Red Horn Coral found near Salt Lake City, Utah is formed from ancient corals that are gradually replaced by agate. Fossil Coral can come in many colors depending on the minerals found in the region in which it is formed. The pinks and reds in this coral would suggest the presence of iron. The preserved cell structure in this material makes it a very interesting stone. Red Horn Coral is no longer mined and has become very rare. This pendant is 27x22mm (1.06" x .87")Chain not included.
